NAWBO's Diversity Committee Holiday Party This years party's theme was Go for the Gold in support of Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics. It was another great event of networking, shopping, eating, shopping and drinking and shopping. I was the emcee again this year and had a ball! Here are some pictures. We had vendors with jewelry, purses, clothing and a variety of really wonderful holiday items. We raffled off some fabulous items including a CoachЎ handbag and $1,500 in MicrosoftЎ products! President Deborah Chambers Chima welcomed everyone to the party, but they were all too busy shopping! Polished Professional Image Fall Fashion Event at Dress Barn It was a small but fun group at the Fall Fashion Event at Dress Barn. Our gracious hostesses provided snacks, beverages, gift bags and discounts! Janelle, the store manager, showed us how to mix and match the latest trends to produce a two week wardrobe. She mixed skirts and slacks with jackets and sweaters. And associate Mieka modeled a couple of outfits for us. We had the whole place to ourselves! Janelle from Dress Barn Mixed and Matched 10 Outfits	NAWBO Diversity Committee Diversity Equals Dollars Dinner I had the pleasure of moderating NAWBO's Diversity Committee's Diversity Equals Dollars dinner and panel discussion on Generational Diversity. It was a great panel. We had Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y represented on the panel. Panelist Laura Cid Perea speaks Panelists Mercedes George, Laura Cid Perea, Andra Medea, Bonnie Mahaffey (moderator), Jonamay Lambert, Chris Ksoll, Fathima Hussain NAWBO Achievement Luncheon The Annual Acheivement Luncheon is such a great networking event. It is NAWBO's biggest event of the year. Woman Business Owner of the Year and Member of the Year are the honorees for this event. This year's keynote speaker was journalist Lisa Ling. NAWBO Immediate Past-President Catherine Lee, keynote speaker Lisa Ling, Bonnie Mahaffey, achievement luncheon chairperson Jessica Merino and diversity committee member Mercedes George Over 600 potential connections to be made at the Achievement Luncheon. Just think of the possibilities. Networking at it's best!
